Shipping
We currently offer shipping within the USA. Orders will be shipped within 3 business days. Please allow 4-5 business days if sizing is required. If other alterations are arranged please contact us to determine time frame before shipping. Please contact us before ordering if you have a tight deadline.
We will only ship to addresses that match the billing address on the credit card at this time. If the shipping address does not match we will contact you to update the shipping address. If you are not able to provide a matching shipping address we will cancel the sale and refund the transaction.
We will ship USPS Priority Mail with signature confirmation. If you would like us to ship by another method, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us at Info@hutchersongoldsmithing.com
Return Policy – online shop
We accept returns within 5 days of delivery. Jewelry must be in original, unworn, and unaltered condition. Please note that custom orders, special orders, and altered or sized items are final sales and may not be returned or exchanged. Return shipping charges are your responsibility. Please get in touch with us immediately if you wish to return a piece; we will provide you with return instructions.
Ring Sizing – online shop
All of the rings offered in our online shop are one-of-a-kind and ready to ship. We include one free resizing with the purchase. Each ring will have size options listed along with the current size. Please get in touch with us if you do not see your size listed with a ring you are interested in. We may be able to make a similar ring for you or size the ring at an additional cost. Upon checkout, please indicate your size in the comments section, and allow three business days for sizing before shipment. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you need additional sizing after receiving the ring. We will happily resize the ring for you for an extra charge. The charges will depend on the ring and size. Return shipping charges are your responsibility.
CUSTOM JEWELRY
Design consultation for custom work is offered free of charge. Once a design direction is determined and a quote is established, a 50% deposit will be required before starting production. CAD/CAM services are considered production. Once production has begun, extensive changes to the design may require additional charges. Changes in the design of the finished piece will be charged based on materials and labor costs.
By placing an order for a custom piece, you acknowledge and accept that our work is crafted individually. Therefore, variations may arise due to the artist’s interpretation or professional expertise. These variations are possible at any stage during the production process.
APPRAISAL – CUSTOM JEWELRY
For pieces valued over $2,000, Hutcherson Goldsmithing will provide all materials, and a complimentary appraisal will be provided to you. By request, if we use your materials to create jewelry, we can obtain a 3rd party appraisal for an additional fee.
EXCHANGES AND RETURNS – custom jewelry
Custom orders are non-refundable. We want to ensure that you are happy with your specially designed piece, and we will communicate this through computer renderings, 3D prints, and/or pictures. If you are not satisfied with the finished product, we may be able to change it. There may be additional charges associated with changes. Please inform us within 7 days if changes are required.
WARRANTY
If the craftsmanship is defective, we will repair the defect free of charge within 2 years of purchase. Jewelry requires maintenance, and we require that you bring it in for inspection 6 months after purchase and every 6-12 months after the first inspection. We will inspect and clean your jewelry, which we created, free of charge throughout its lifetime.
Repairs on damages determined to be caused by intentional or unintentional misuse, abuse, normal wear, accidents of nature, criminal acts, and/or alien invasions will require standard repair charges. This warranty will be rendered void if any other jeweler is involved in modifying or altering said piece(s).
SIZING
Each custom ring includes one free resizing. Any additional sizing requires standard charges.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
We retain the intellectual property rights to all works we produce.
CANCELLATION FEE
Once production, including CAD, has started, the 50% deposit is non-refundable. You will be refunded your entire deposit if you cancel before production starts.
ITEMS LEFT
We are not responsible for items left over 120 days. Please confirm your contact information is accurate so we can contact you when your items are ready.
INTAKE
We are not responsible for damage to your loose stones or jewelry when used in a new custom piece. We recommend insuring your items before dropping them off with us.
GEMS & DIAMONDS
We do not guarantee that a diamond or gemstone will not chip, break, scratch, or fracture. No stone, including a diamond, can be guaranteed not to break, chip, scratch, or fracture. We recommend insuring your jewelry with your homeowner’s policy.
